In our case, we have used the SCS services of converting our high resolution scans of pages of stamps into high resolution individual images of individual stamps and assembled-images of sets of stamps. For us, SCS straightens the stamps perfectly, makes the background pure black, and makes the black margins around the stamps a consistent size to our standard. We use these images on our 3200+ page website. We have extremely demanding image specifications for which SCS developed custom procedures and workflow that meshes with our own downstream automated workflow that generates the lower-resolution versions of images displayed on our website. The results of SCS have been excellent. While we are very happy with the reasonable cost, an even greater benefit for us has been that using SCS’s services has allowed our on-site staff to spend more time doing other work that would not otherwise have been done (because we are never able to find enough qualified on-site staff, so this is very important to us)

we can work at a rate of $4.50 USD per hour (per person). For bulk collections with a commitment of 25,000 stamps or more, we will work at a rate of $3.50 USD (After a smooth working of 2 months)per hour per person.
(All work is completed and delivered prior to payment due).
